Ben-Hur (1959)
I was in touch with one from the Ruspoli family and got some info. Edmondo Ruspoli knew William Wyler and lived in the US and spoke fluent English. Also his brother Emanuele spoke English. The brothers who were in BH were therefore Emanuele and Edmondo Ruspoli (not Raimondo R) and they very much enj...

La dolce vita (1960)
La dolce vita is truly one of my favorite movies. I thought Giò Staiano played the effeminate man in all scenes from the nightclub to the end orgy scene, but it seems that there are 2 actors who play effeminate men. I thought the one identified as Massimo Busetti was Giò Staiano. Does anyone know an...

[*]Princess Carmen of Spain (real consort of the Austrian prince, born as Russian Princess Irina Wassilchikoff)
Surely Carmen de Hohenlohe was not the same person as Irina Wassilchikoff?

date when thread was last updated
At right on LAST POST I can see when the latest post was made in a thread.
How can I see when the thread was last updated? Threads can sometimes be updated even if no one writes a new post. I suppose even the first post in a thread could be updated at a later time.

Some comments to the unbilled cast: Jack Cooper - IMDb as "Stunts": UK stuntman who doubled Helen in a jump into water (according to more than one source) John Sullivan - IMDb as "Stunts": UK stuntman doubling Jacques Sernas (source: my interviews with other stuntmen) Nazzareno Zamperla - IMDb as "S...

Ercole e la regina di Lidia (1959)
Didn't Giovanni Cianfriglia play a mummy with a sword in Ercole e la regina di Lidia, at least according to some sources? Plus maybe he doubled Steve too?

I have seen Rodolfo Van Riel listed also as Raimondo Van Riel in cast lists. Maybe Raimondo is the real Van Riel in this movie? Raimondo played parts ever since the 30s and was born 1878, I think. He could be among the older Romans or older Christians if he is in this movie.

I asked Joe Canutt if he appeared in a part and he said that he was credited as a sportsman (in the pressbook) probably just because they thought he had to be credited somewhere because of his important input. Same probably with Yrigoyen who was listed (in the pressbook) as Egyptian. I remember that...

Land of the Pharaohs (1955)
Is it true that Carlo D'Angelo wasn't in this movie? I have him listed as an overseer. That comes from some source. I therefore assumed that he plays the overseer seen in the movie. It's a shame that Warner Bros didn't make a call bureau cast sheet for this movie. Those sheets are the source for muc...
