Carla Calò was a character actress, mostly in small parts, active in Italian films and television from 1949 until 2003.

She was born on September 21st 1926 in Palermo, Italy.

She began her film career with 3 sizeable roles in 1949, but failed to capitalise on this and by the end of the 1950's she was settling into a career of small character roles of mothers, wives, servants and occasional queens. Carla remained quite busy throughout the 60's and 70's, with her appearances becoming more sporadic from the 80's onwards. Her final appearance onscreen came in 2003. In the latter half of the 60's she was frequently credited with various spellings of the pseudonym "Caroll Brown".

In addition to acting she has 4 credits in the wardrobe department.

Carla died in Forano on December 29th 2019, at the age of 93.
