A willowy, beautiful and glamorous, yet somewhat under-appreciated starlet of Italian 1960s cinema, Rossella Bergamonti was born as Rosetta Bergamonti in 1942 in Gussola, a comune in the Italian province of Cremona.
Her first encounter with the world of showbiz came in 1962 when she participated in the Miss Italia beauty pageant, finishing in third place and earning the title of Miss Sorriso (Miss Smiles).
Changing her name from Rosetta to Rossella, she then embarked on a career in films, where she quickly became very prolific. Between 1966 and 1968, she appeared in more than 40 films, being particularly active in westerns and spy movies.
Sometimes credited under the anglicized pseudonym Patricia Carr, Rossella was often cast in glamourous or sexy roles which took full advantage of her good looks and well-shaped physicality, but she never managed to secure any truly substantial parts. In fact, some of her roles were almost microscopic, and as of 1969, she was seen less and less frequently on the silver screen.
Rossella Bergamonti made her final appearance in 1974 and then disappeared from the public eye.
