Storyline

The time in prison for Eudosio and Carlos, unjustly accused, will prevent them from getting a job when they leave it. No matter how much they try to explain that they were locked up for no reason, no one will listen to them. So they decide to steal to stay, at least, alive. Their home is an entire building in ruins, without any closed windows and with walls that are barely standing. Esperanza will try to turn that space into a home, where she works with enthusiasm with the little she has. But life is very hard and co-existence is also difficult. (Translated from EdCE)

• Carlos Doty - He has no other known credits.
• Antonio Fornis - He has 7 credits on IMDb, one listed with role, so may be identifiable with some difficulty.
• Paco Hernández - IMDb has this role listed under what I suspect to be another actor of the same name who died in 2009. There is a 15-year gap between this and his next role and given the date he died he would have to have been very young when this film was made if it is him.
• Mercedes Manera - She has 6 credits on IMDb, none listed with roles.
• Fernando Marín - He has 35 credits on IMDb, which lists his year of birth as 1940, meaning he would have been around 16 when this was filmed. I did identify him in one large role from 1970, but don't see any obvious matches or any actors of an appropriate age. I suspect the actor credited here and in Farmacia de guardia (1958, as Fernando Marin Calvo) is probably a different actor from the actor in the remaining credits.
• José Montoro - He has 2 credits on IMDb, none listed with roles.
• Francisco Nuño - He has 5 credits on IMDb, none listed with roles.
• Carlos Ochando - He has no other known credits.
• Pedro Oliver - He is credited as "P. Oliver Vini" and listed on EdCE as "Pedro Oliver Vini" and is almost certainly the same actor listed on IMDb as "Pedro Oliver", who has 12 roles listed on IMDb, 4 with roles. Following further research it seems like this may be yet another instance of 2 actors with the same name being lumped together by IMDb. The first 4 credits listed, and the only ones with roles identified, were all shot in Mexico and date from the 1940's, the remaining 8 are Spanish films from the 60's, which are probably our man, but none are listed with roles.
• Emma Picó - She has 6 credits on IMDb, 4 listed with roles. I have her identified in one role, but so far have not matched her to our unidentified actors.
• Margot Prieto - She has 5 credits on IMDb, 2 listed with roles. I have identified her in these 2 roles, however the image quality is not great in either. She is maybe playing the cafe customer girlfriend of Anibal Vela hijo's character (images 35-36), but unfortunately this role too is not seen too clearly, so hard to be certain.
• José María Rodríguez - He has 50 credits on IMDb, a number listed with roles. I have him identified, but really cannot find anyone who looks like him in the film.
• Manolo San Román - He has 2 credits on IMDb, none listed with roles.
• Conchita Soto - She has 2 credits on IMDb, none listed with roles.

• Manuel Alexandre - IMDb as Guard. Manuel is a well-known actor who should, in theory, be easily identifiable. There is one actor playing a prison guard and 2 actors playing civil guards, but none of these seem like him. Other than that there a 4 civil guards who are not seen too clearly in images 79-80 - of these 2 are not him, one you never see his face, which leaves the 4th, in image 80, who might possibly be Alexandre, but I am doubtful
• José María Caffarel - IMDb as what Google translates as "Man who gives alms". I know José María very well and do not see him anywhere in the film. From the role description it sounds like he may have been mis-identified in the role played by Anibal Vela.

With at least 3 non-speaking roles credited, plus one more who is only seen from behind, it seems that pretty much any role in the film, no matter how small, may be credited - but that said I am unfortunately very doubtful that the 2 unidentified uncredited actors would be amongst the credited.

I started going through this film as, with such a lengthy cast list, it seemed like it good title from which to try and identify some small-part actors from Spanish films. Since I have already done the work it seemed silly not to share the results.

Below here are those unidentified actors I have so far managed to identify, along with any potential matches from the film. Any opinions on possible matches would be appreciated.

Inocencio Barbán

Identified here in La vida por delante (1958)

I am fairly confident that it is him playing the Melon vendor (below), but I would appreciate any further opinions to confirm the ID (or not)

Mario Morales

Identified here in Pecado de amor (1961) and Gli ultimi giorni di Pompei (1959). I don't see any obvious matches.

Antonio Díaz del Castillo

Identified here in a number of roles. The first image dates from the mid-60's, the rest are all from the 70's.

I think the most likely match would be the Prisoner below

Emma Picó

I changed my mind after seeing the images together and now think she is probably the actress below (whose role I still have to determine)

I originally thought the most likely candidate is the Cafe customer girlfriend of Anibal Vela hijo below, but seeing the images together I'm having doubts - the nose shape seems different

Another possibility could be the Girl being eyed up by the police detective, only seen from a distance so not very clear

I don't see any obvious matches among the actors of a similar age (this was released the same year), but possibly the Old man disturbed by burglars, who should be credited since his wife is - I'm doubtful

or else maybe the Priest, who, like credited Julia Delgado Caro, is only seen from behind with slight profile - again I'm doubtful, he seems too old

Pepa Ruiz

These images come up in a Google search for Pepa, dating from some years later than this film, but I am uncertain that she is the same person.

Assuming she is the same actress, she could maybe be playing the Shop assistant

or else possibly the Cinema cashier - seeing the images together I am more inclined towards this one
