Cesare Martignoni was born in Rimini on December 12, 1906, in via Principe Amedeo, in the same building as Fellini, of whom he was a great friend having grown up together.[1]

He was a very important fotoromanzo actor, with dozens of fotoromanzi, quite often with good roles. He was also a very busy generico, with some credited roles like the one as victim in Dieci italiani per un tedesco (Via Rasella) and in some Fellini movies, but the majority of the time he was uncredited.
