"The Elegant Prophet" is an unidentified generico active at least throughout the 60's and into the early 70's. He is balding, with a waxed moustache and bushy white beard, plus distinguishing moles on both cheeks.

It was jointly decided that he looked both elegant and prophet-like, hence his nickname.

We now have a possible name for our man, though unfortunately no way to confirm it. By process of deduction from the credits in Capricci (1969), where he has a role that should be credited, it looks like our man could be called Umberto Berluti.

Tre nel Mille (1971) as Monk. This was originally released as a theatrical feature in 1971, and then shown as a greatly expanded six-part mini series for television in 1973 under the new title Storie dell'anno Mille. Our man appears in a couple of scenes in the fifth episode. I don't know how much (if any) of his role is present in the theatrical cut, which I've not been able to find.
