How she was discovered

Johan write: I think she is a party guest in Divina creatura (1975)
Divina Creatura - Marcella Theodoli.jpg

Ghibarian reply: I found on google-book a very interesting article from the italian weekly EPOCA about the 'blue bloods generici' who appear in this movie.

Who know.. maybe our 'vicious-looking middle aged woman' could be a noblewoman? smile.gif

This is not the whole article; however the missing part should only concern the movie plot.
Here the article:
Le divine comparse
Signore in veletta e boa,

( laugh.gif )
All'ora della sosta, i nobili barattano qualcosa. ▪

It seems in the same pages there are also many pics and captions!!!

Unfortunately I can't understand from which Epoca 'number' is this article

Ciavazzaro reply: Interesting, this would help us a lot,we must found it !

Johan Melle reply: Interesting! It would be quite very cool to discover that she is a noblewoman. Of course, the article only mentions some of the people who play party guests - not all, but in any case we won't know until we are able to find the article with pictures.

But doesn't Google Books usually give information about publications dates and page numbers etc?

Ghibarian reply: not this time.. the only informations are vol.26 y.1975

but I found this:

I think it should be '3 maggio 1975'.
Hard to read the number. According to the search result: N. 1282.

Johan Melle reply: Yeah, that looks like it should be 1282 or 1262. Google Books should have a zoom function, though, where you choose to view at 75% or 100% or 120% etc.

If it is 1282 then the magazine is available here: http://cgi.ebay.it/Epoca-1282-1975-Geno ... 45f3efd8ce

Ghibarian: http://books.google.com/books?id=CGM1AQAAIAAJ

humm.. I can't use a zoom function;
maybe we are not talking about the same site?

Johan Melle: It doesn't really matter since I found the magazine on eBay! I'm sure it's the right one but if there's any doubt I am sure the seller can tell us if the publication date is May or not. I'd buy it myself but I just bought a large stack of fotoromanzi so I can't buy any more stuff on eBay at the moment...

Emiliano: I've sent the question. If he responds positively I'll buy it.

Ciavazzaro: Very good, let's take our fingers crossed !

Emiliano: Unfortunately he doesn't answer at questions, so I was forced to buy it. We must wait for a few days to delivery

Ciavazzaro: Thanks, hope we will found interesting information !

Ghibarian: thank you Emiliano! so waiting for good news

Emiliano: It has arrived! The magazine is from 3 may 1975, n° 1282. superok.gif

Emiliano: It's great. This brings many good news. The Vicious looking must be the Marquess Marcella Theodoli. She have the same hat and dress of the snapshot from the movie.

And even a mention a certain Countess Lella Bassi di Sangermano! Remind you anything?

It's a little bit strange because in the 3rd page, 2nd pic on the left, they call in the caption Filippo Perego as Principe Gaetano Torlonia. I think they're wrong. In this photo appears also Lella Cattaneo (they call as Principessa Francoise Colonna) - with cigarette and plumes, the previous mentioned Lella Bassi di Sangermano.

Johan Melle: That's great news! Very cool!

Yeah, it seems to be Lella in the picture with Perego but she isn't visible in the film!!

Another cool thing is the identification of the Jamaican actress Ruth League, who is clearly the same as Mary Ruth League who plays Michele Placido's lover in ...e tanta paura (1976).

Emiliano: Now we have a name, I found Marquess Marcella Theodoli also here: http://www.archiviodelcinemaitaliano.it ... ice=AG3912

I think we can trust and rename the topic, although the fact that they had exchanged the name of Filippo Perego could raises some doubts about the article. What do you think?

Ghibarian: Woow great!
Thanks Emiliano!

However the woman nearby Filippo Perego in the pic (3rd page) is not Lella, as you can see in this screen (at left):
So I hope the error with Filippo Perego is the only one in the article

Emiliano: I hope too. The only mistake of 'Epoca' which we can verify is the identification of Filippo Perego. Unless Filippo Perego is a nickname and his real name is Principe Gaetano Torlonia. But I think this is near impossible.

Ciavazzaro: But this is just wonderful !!!!
My compliments !

First as a hospital patient in a wheelchair
Lonely Lady - Marcella Theodoli1.jpg

And then as a woman at the awards show (on the right)

Very important discovery..
So far this is Marcella's first cinema role, from 1973 Io e lui as party guest
marcellaio.png
So she did not begin her carrer with Patroni Griffi in 1975, (like if i remember wright was written in the magazine article, from which we found her name, in which it was written this was her first movie) but some years before.

Marcella is seen briefly on the dance floor in La chiave (1983)
