A huge woman, of at least 200 kilos of weight: Maria De Sisti (or de Sisti) was for a while of the "Fellini's creatures": indeed, she took part in Fellini Satyricon (1969) and later in both Fellini's Roma (1972) and Amarcord (1973).

If Franca Scagnetti with her physical abundance represented the Roman populan woman, Maria De Sisti is almost a caricature of this figure. Far more imposing than another fat cinema-extra, Ada Passeri, her appearance is in itself impressive. Her acting career begins in the late fifties. Not infrequently, in addition to the role of a simple "generica", she also had small parts of speech, played in a natural way, not being a a professional.

Always uncredited in movies, she was identified thanks to the book Fellini's faces (1982) by Christian Strich.
