Her family of origin consisted of three sisters (Ada, Nicolina and Anita - who lived in Via Agostino Bertagni, 8) and a brother. It was Ada's turn to take care of her brother's son, Armando "Armandino" Natalucci[2], called "Chinotto", which she looked after even he was adult, cause he was veteran from various asylum hospitalizations. One day Fellini came to Ada's home in person, to bring her the invitation to Cannes, but she had to decline, because her son didn't want to be left alone.[1]
In movies she began to appear in 1959 with the classic Nella città l'inferno by Renato Castellani. She wasn't a professionist, but she has participated in some films until the early 1980s.
The inhabitants of her neighborhood say that she lived on a small smuggling of cigarettes, which she hid under her wide skirt. The brands she usually sold in the usual place in Vicolo de' Cinque to them, were the Astor or Stuyvesant (and old French brand), which she called, in her strong roman dialect accet: "AstorE" and "Stufesante" (that assumed the ilaric meaning of "Holy stoves").[1]
