it's my fault that I'm experimenting! :pvecchiaguardia wrote: ↑03/10/2018, 12:25This forum seems to change sub-sections every time I log in... is it just me?
Re: Forum problems
I realize that when a message is edited and submitted, the theme disappears for a fraction of a second and gives me a screen like this (only appears for a fraction of a second). Than It recharges as normal as if everything was okay.
This is caused by Ajax Chat. I have no idea why it is only now doing this problem. I already knew it would give some trouble. If I can not fix this causing error, I'll have to remove it sooner or later and insert another chat. Unfortunately, there are few functional chats that indicate even when a message is written in a forum.

Re: Forum problems
Yeah, this happens with me too. In fact, I wondered what it was, but I figured it wasn't important since it loads as normal after that little flash...
Re: Forum problems
Ladies & Gentleman, the chat is corrupt and it will not work permanently :wall:
This happened because the chat is an add-on, not originally included in the platform, and went to write on a line of the database already occupied by the forum platform.
I will try to find something to replace it.

Use Quote
It often happens that you can not follow all the topics in all the forums. To make sure that the reply arrives to the interested user, use the "quote" function to reply to the previous message. In this way, a notification will appear in the bar at the top right of the forum, in the form of a bullet with a number behind the label "Notifications".

Re: Use Quote
But when you use quotes, the reply isn't signalized at the top of the chat box like other replies are, which means that other members might not notice the reply...

Now It happens. Is it okay for you if all the answers are reported in the chat box?Johan Melle wrote: ↑02/11/2018, 18:09But when you use quotes, the reply isn't signalized at the top of the chat box like other replies are, which means that other members might not notice the reply...
Every opinion is appreciated!

Re: Use Quote
Great. Personally, I like it when all replies are visible in the chat box because then I can very easily jump to that post. Of course, I can also click on 'New posts' in 'Quick links', but I usually just navigate from the chat box. That said, it's not such a big deal, really
