Giorgio Ubaldi
Is anyone familiar with a stuntman called Giorgio Ubaldi? According to his IMDb page he has around 45 credits as Master of Arms or Stuntman, mostly in peplums, westerns and Bud Spencer movies. With that many stunt credits you would expect he would be one of our best-known stuntmen, yet he seems to be a complete unknown with no definitive images to be found.
IMDb only lists 5 films where he appears as an actor, with only 2 giving roles. Of these 2 I was unable to work out who is the character he should play in Le notti di Lucrezia Borgia, while the actor playing the role of Harry in Password: Uccidete agente Gordon (below) does not seem like he would be a stuntman, doesn't perform any stunts and doesn't look at all familiar, so I suspect it may be a mis-identification.

Re: Giorgio Ubaldi
I came to the same conclusion as you with Password... I've been intending to do further research but haven't really got around to it I guess, maybe frustration caused by not finding a starting place

Yes, his only other ID as "gladiator" in Il gladiatore invincibile isn't of much help in a film with multiple unidentified gladiators and my best copy isn't great. It was shot in Spain, so I assume most of them are Spanish stuntman who I am less familiar with, though I could probably get images of all of them and attempt to work it out by process of elimination

Re: Giorgio Ubaldi
He was an active Italian stuntmen, one of those who started in the 50s. He is most likely the father of Massimiliano Ubaldi, who is a very active stunt coordinator today.

I share with you these extracts from the book "heroes in cinecittà" by Fabio Melelli [1998], so that you can have some more information about Giorgio Ubaldi. A master of arms much appreciated and respected by all the stuntmen of his time.

Thanks, useful information. What we really need are some clear images of him from the 60's/70's, so we can start to make identificationsStuntman Mike wrote: ↑02/10/2022, 13:34I share with you these extracts from the book "heroes in cinecittà" by Fabio Melelli [1998], so that you can have some more information about Giorgio Ubaldi. Massimiliano Ubaldi is his son, I think? He should have more info. If you, Stuntman Mike, is a stuntman you probably know Massimiliano. He seems to be working a lot these days. Giorgio Ubaldi worked a lot for Bud Spencer and Terence Hill

Yes Christoffer, Massimiliano is still an active stuntman, but he works with other groups (not the same ones I belong to) and I hardly meet him.ChristofferSlotte wrote: ↑02/10/2022, 21:13Massimiliano Ubaldi is his son, I think? This working world is quite complicated, especially for us young stunts

however, if I meet him one day, I will certainly ask him for some more information about his father's career.

Ubaldi is credited (and is the highest-listed unidentified name in a very long cast list) in I cento cavalieri (1964).
While there are obviously many years between them, from the features and the almost identical expression I think this could be our man (he's not in the unidentifieds as I had him identified as someone else). It would make sense since he is credited next to Angel Ortiz, who plays an identical role as one of 2 companions of Mark Damon
