Re: Quick Identifications
I have a doubtful identification here for Leoda Richards
in the comedy How to steal a million (1965) she is supposed to be a woman at the Ritz bar
more than a year ago, this was also doubtful, now we have a slight better copy
do you think it's her Nick ?

Re: Quick Identifications
Even by Italian film standards this is strange! The film in question is Tempesta sur Ceylon (1963)
Is this Luisa Mattioli or is this Ann Smyrner, or is it in fact both actresses alternating in the same role in the same film? In some shots I think it is definitely Smyrner, but in others I am not certain and think it could be Mattioli. The actress in the 5th image could even be someone different again, she seems to have a much larger upper lip than either Mattioli or Smyrner and could maybe be a stunt woman as the scene involves her being pulled out of a swamp.
Italian and French publicity for the film lists Mattioli with no mention of Smyrner.
ANICA lists Mattioli as playing the role of Helga with no mention of Smyrner.
The French credits list Mattioli with no mention of Smyrner.
but
German and Spanish publicity for the film lists Smyrner with no mention of Mattioli.
IMDb lists Smyrner as playing the role of Helga with no mention of Mattioli.
The German credits list Smyrner with no mention of Mattioli.
I have watched the French and German versions of the film and aside from the credits they are identical.
Any opinions gratefully received!

Re: Quick Identifications
The woman in the screenshots (all of them) is Ann Smyrner in my opinion. Maybe Luisa Mattioli played the same role in the Italian version? I know of some films where different language versions recast one of more of the actors. For example, the scenes with Folco Lulli in the The Viscount (1967) were shot with Edmond O'Brien playing the same part for the English-language version. And the English version of German-British co-production The Devil's Daffodil (1961) replaces three of the actors from the German version.

Re: Quick Identifications
Which would presumably mean the French took the Italian credits, but placed them before the German version of the film. Unfortunately the Italian version is nowhere to be found (it is on DVD in Italy, but I don't really want to spend 10 euros just to check).Johan Melle wrote: ↑28/05/2020, 19:41The woman in the screenshots (all of them) is Ann Smyrner in my opinion. Re: Quick Identifications
Looking at this image from Maciste nelle miniere del re Salomone in Fernando Piazza's topic, I'm wondering if that might also be Archie Savage on the left?

Re: Quick Identifications
What do people think about the bearded actor in these images being the same person? If they are then maybe we have a new unidentified generico (unless anyone knows who he is of course).
La rivolta dei pretoriani James Tont operazione D.U.E. Da uomo a uomo and maybe also here on the left in Il trionfo dei dieci gladiatori
