Re: Quick Identifications
Looking at this image from Anthar l'invincibile, I was thinking that...
1. The dark-skinned or black actor at front centre could be the same actor as the one here on the right in Il ladro di Bagdad
and 2. Could the actor at front left in Anthar be Luigi D'Acri, here in Le avventure di Mary Read? The eyes and mouth look right, but not sure about the nose- Johan Melle

Re: Quick Identifications
Not sure if he's "Panda Man" but I, too, am a bit unsure about the Salomone identification.PeplumParadise wrote: ↑06/02/2020, 10:55I'm thinking that the actor we have identified as Umberto Salomone in Sinbad contro i sette saraceni may actually be "Panda Man". The moustache looks too dark for Salomone. What do others think?whiteberd2.jpgwhitebeard.jpg

Re: Quick Identifications
I don't think the medicine man in Tomei. Not familiar with Carboni. Do you have any pics of him?PeplumParadise wrote: ↑06/02/2020, 19:03and any ideas who this is playing the dreadlocked medicine man in Ursus il terrore dei Kirghisi? I thought maybe Giulio Tomei, but I don't really know him that well, or possibly Ugo Carboni who is credited, though the features look rather differentSnapshot-2020-02-06 at 05_13_45 PM-1994809546.jpgSnapshot-2020-02-06 at 05_13_18 PM-1057876097.jpg
and from the same film I can't quite decide if this is Rinaldo Zamperla in duel roles as a juggler and a villager, or possibly it's one role as a juggling villager!Snapshot-2020-02-06 at 01_27_46 PM-404113985.jpgSnapshot-2020-02-06 at 01_32_47 PM-2127348432.jpgSnapshot-2020-02-06 at 05_00_46 PM-1042378865.jpgSnapshot-2020-02-06 at 05_01_07 PM-89991829.jpg
Not an expert on Zamperla, but I think it should be him in the second role, and maybe the first one, too. Btw, isn't the correct term dual roles?

I think the black actor is the same. He looks very familiar, btw. I'm sure I've seen him elsewhere.PeplumParadise wrote: ↑08/02/2020, 9:08Looking at this image from Anthar l'invincibile, I was thinking that...

Yes, I'm sure I've seen him in other things too, so one to keep an eye out for, for a future topic maybeJohan Melle wrote: ↑08/02/2020, 16:26

This is Carboni in Satiricosissimo. There are head shots of him in a couple of other films on CIDb. Not an expert on Zamperla, but I think it should be him in the second role, and maybe the first one, too. Btw, isn't the correct term dual roles?
Yes, you're right, even English people have problems with English sometimes, I always get those confused :p

Re: Quick Identifications
I think maybe it could be Carboni, but not at all sure. Maybe other members are more familiar with him.

Re: Quick Identifications
Wondering if this can be Terzo Monachesi as the doorman pacing up and down in the background in Signori si nasce
and in the same scene can this possibly be Angelo Casadei walking through the lobby?

Re: Quick Identifications
I would say yes to both, maybe a little doubt on Casadei, but at 90 percent he is him.

Not a very good view of Monachesi, but I think it should be him.
I say definite yes for Casadei. He has that same beard in some other films from the same period.
