He has an interesting face that should be quite an easy one to recognise, so if you've got 3 or 4 roles for him then why notJohan Melle wrote: ↑07/08/2020, 22:39An interesting name on the list is Ezio Rossi, who has a significant amount of credits. It looks as if he might have been a generico in the 1940s and early 1950s (and maybe earlier too) with a few credited movie roles up until the mid 1950s, at which point he started to work pretty much exclusively for television. He has tons of credited television roles, but despite being credited, the roles are extremely tiny. He's really not much more than a generico - just a credited one. Does anyone think it's worth starting a topic for him? I don't really recognize him from any movies, but I'm assuming there are uncredited roles to be found from the 1940s and early 1950s at least. This is him in La vita di Cavour (1967)

Yeah, I actually have quite a few roles for him, so I'll see what else I can dig up and then try to get a topic started this weekend. Hopefully, it will lead to some uncredited 40s and 50s work being unearthed

I see our potential Barbarian Torturer, Stefano Ceccarelli, is included on the list - I wonder from what source he came to be included there?

I have assumed that all the names come from the yearly "Annuario del cinema italiano" books, but Christopher Slotte will have to confirm if this is correct or not, since he is the one who compiled all the names.PeplumParadise wrote: ↑07/08/2020, 22:55I see our potential Barbarian Torturer, Stefano Ceccarelli, is included on the list - I wonder from what source he came to be included there?

Re: List of generici 1940's-1950's
Re : Armando Michettoni (See page 4 with some pictures)
Can you check if in one of these pictures you can recognize him (very difficult)
first
Vita di Dante (1965) (Tv miniseries) (ep 1) as a priest (frate)
in the credit list he comes before Andrea Checchi (who is also in that same scene) so it could be him is it him in the background, not very visible i'm afraid !
second serie
Il conte di Montecristo (1966) (ep 7 - il giudizio) as sesto deputado (credited also)
i can't figure him out here, can you ?
Found also some other series where he is credited in the cast lists
If you can identify these and you can have 4 titles, IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE A TOPIC FOR HIM ?
thanks

Re: List of generici 1940's-1950's
Most of his credit roles were tv series and miniseries only found on Radiocorriere Tv magazine
So, he almost exclusively worked i think for televison, except for that early movie found from 1947 !
Is he that interesting for making a topic in the future, what do you think ?
thanks

Re: List of generici 1940's-1950's
I thought he might be a good candidate since he has only one known movie role as well as some very minor television roles, which would indicate has many other uncredited roles. I was only able to find one role where you get a good look at him, though, and in Il conte di Monte Cristo I couldn't recognize him. Haven't spotted him anywhere else either, so I'm not sure it's worth starting a topic unless we can positively identify him in more of his credited roles.van den bremt rudy wrote: ↑18/12/2020, 11:45Most of his credit roles were tv series and miniseries only found on Radiocorriere Tv magazine

Re: List of generici 1940's-1950's
I have all the Duemila magazines (it was very short-lived, published only from 1950-51) and I know Gardini and Vicari well, but I can't say I've had much luck spotting them in films.Ciavazzaro wrote: ↑16/05/2021, 23:22I found on ebay this fotoromanzo where some of our friends in this list are credited
