La Principessa delle Canarie (1954)

I'm mystified by this shot from La Principessa delle Canarie (1954) where you have who I believe is Attilio Severini in the centre and what could maybe be Amerigo Santarelli to the right. Neither actor appears elsewhere in the film. The film was shot on Gran Canaria, where I live, using Spanish actors in smaller roles, but I can't see that any producer would have flown in 2 Italian actors for what is a non-essential reaction shot, and by the same token it looks rather a complex and unnecessary shot to have been filmed at a later date in Italy. What do others think about the identifications and the backstory?

It's Amerigo Santarelli without a doubt, but it could be that this shot is inserted from another film made by the same production company. Wouldn't be the first time something like that happened, but I'm just making guesses here...

Thanks, I'll add it to Amerigo's page then. Still odd though, as there were not many colour films being made in Italy at that time and I have yet to come across another film where Amerigo sports a mohican.

Perhaps some sequences were shot in Rome too for practical reasons and this is all that remains of Amerigo's role in the finished film? I do agree this is odd.

I also think it's an "insert" from another movie.

If it was a later movie I would think it could be an insert, but in 1954 there really weren't any older Italian colour productions to take inserts from, plus the picture quality matches the other fight scenes that surround it where with inserts you can usually spot a difference in quality.
