Gilberto Galimberti was a prolific acrobat, "generico" and master of arms. He was active in Italian films from at least the early 60s until the early 90s.

He was born on February 25th 1933 in the heart of Rome, in the district of Testaccio, and died on June 16th 2017, also in Rome, aged 84.[1]

Former Judoka Italian champion, one time a casting agent from Cinecittà came to look for fit guys right in the gym where he trained and the owner pointed him out for his skill. His first role in the cinema was in a costume film. He started as a "generico" in Cleopatra, than he joined in the famous Musumeci acrobatic team. From an Acrobat he briefly ended up as a Master of arms, founding the Organizzazione Acrobati Cinematografi and from there he continued his career into the 90s, also providing professional advice.[1, 2]

He tended to be very animated while performing stunts, so it is often not too easy to get clear shots of him.
