Colpo di stato (1967) / Il segreto dei soldati di argilla (1970)

This very strange film has 2 separate listings on IMDb with different titles and years, both of which list Mirko as appearing (one gives the role of "Henchman"). There is a credit for "Valentinsig Mirko", which it would seem logical to assume belongs to Valentin, but he is nowhere to be seen in the film. The film does, however, contain a fairly large uncredited role by Yugoslav actor Mirko Boman. My theory is that those notoriously inept Italian credit writers somehow credited the wrong Mirko!

I'm not convinced that this was ever released as Colpo di stato in Italy. It was released as Il segreto dei soldati di argilla in 1970, and I think the reason why many assume these are two different films is because the Italian version came several years after the international version, and because of conflicting credits. The international version lists Jean-Christôphe as the director, whereas the Italian lists Roy Ferguson, which ANICA says is a pseudonym for Luigi Vanzi. The Italian version also lists mostly just the Italian actors, whereas the international version leaves out the Italian actors and credits mostly Yugoslav ones (including Mirko Boman) instead. I've not tried to compare the two versions to see if they contain different footage, but if you're interested, the international version is here: http://rarefilm.net/the-one-eyed-soldie ... guy-deghy/
I'm not sure if that clears things up or adds to the confusion :joy: Feel free to add the explanation into the post. It still doesn't clear up the listing for Mirko though. I have the international version (posted in Boman's topic) and while I haven't been through them side by side, they do appear to be the same. It is definitely one of those films which belongs under the "what were they thinking" heading!

By strange coincidence I should be posting the topics this week for 2 other actors who are credited in the Italian version only and at least do briefly appear, Altamura and Calisti

In the topic of Biagio Pelligra (made by Cos) on page 4 i have found the episodes and other pictures for "Mathias Sandorf" (1979) tv series.
Can i update and replace the original pictures and credit by the new ones ? (I hope Cos won't mind)
Let me know, thank you

José Jaspe from "Playgirl 70"
About his role throughout the film, the actresses Ira von Fürstenberg and Luciana Paluzzi refer to Jose Jaspe as either Eminence or Monsignor or Don Bruno and he tells religious anecdotes in his dialogues. He strangely never appears in clothes or scenes that have to do with religion.

Wonderful, thank you. So for his role it sounds like it's probably best to go with "Don Bruno".

Happy birthday to Luciana - 85 today!

Despite being a bit blurry, I would say this is Aldo Vasco in the pic you've posted from Zorro alla corte di Spagna (1962)

And for sure Baldie with only half his face visible in this shot from L'armata Brancaleone (1966)

I agree for both, I will look for better images once I am finished with Altamura. It looks like there is also Rosy the Soldier behind Baldie

Just getting the images from L'armata Brancaleone, might this also be Lancio Barman?
