The Secret Invasion (1964) looks like it fits

The Black Stallion Returns (1983); and, btw, Nana (1983) seems to be an Italian production (or is it another than the Katya Berger-Jean-Pierre Aumont film?)

That's the film I meant, yes. But I don't think it's an Italian production. IMDb and Wikipedia list it as such, but it's not listed in ANICA and cinematografo.it lists it as an American production: https://www.cinematografo.it/cinedataba ... na-/15472/

As we've seen some examples of already, it can sometimes be a bit tricky to categorize what is a foreign film and what is not. My intention was for this list was that it not be too rigid in its definitions, meaning that for example predominantly American or British production with an American or British director and with only a tenuous Italian production involvement are worth listing here, even if they might technically be considered co-productions.

The awful 2016 remake of Ben-Hur should probably be added, someone just reminded me it was filmed in Cinecitta

There's a 2016 remake? That seems to have happened without much fanfare. I at least can't remember hearing about it :D Will add it, though.

It was dreadful and a box-office bomb, helping to put the nail in the coffin of the peplum revival started by Gladiator and 300

yes, Här kommer bärsärkarna should be included. The title means Here Come the Berserks. I am Swedish-speaking. I don't think many have seen this movie.

Does anyone know which scenes from El Cid were shot in Rome?

The only scene I can say must have been shot in Rome is the harem scene, which features a bunch of Italian-based actors as extras (Franco Fantasia, Rosalba Neri, Janine Hendy, Eleonora Bianchi)
