Salone Caves

I once visited the Salone caves east of Rome where lots of peplums have been filmed.

On the left side is the part that mostly was used. On the RIGHT side of the area is where they filmed Ben-Hur (scenes from the Valley of the Lepers), according to an Italian guy who knew much more about the area than I. They have apparently built some constructions above that part of the area, so it looks different now
