Re: Ferruccio Fregonese
We know that during 1949 to 1951, Ferruccio Fregonese appeared in several fotoromanzi for the magazine Sogno under the pseudonym Ferruccio Murer. What's great about those old Sogno magazines is that they would usually publish biographies for their stars and sometimes they'd even print some informations about their supporting actors. And in Sogno N. 42 (9 October 1949), they speak at length about Ferruccio! Here's the scan
To sum up the most important information, it says he's working under the alias Ferruccio Murer because he's from a very noble family who would be shocked to discover that he's working as an actor. It also mentions he's in his early 30s and 183 cm tall. His age might be a lie, though, because these fotoromanzo actors were often presented as being younger than they really were.
But of particular interest is the information that he has appeared in the films Una lettera all'alba, Il grido della terra and Munastero 'e Santa Chiara.
Natuarally, I had to search for these movies and here we have Ferruccio in Una lettera all'alba (1948) as a court clerk
And I think this is him in Il grido della terra (1949) as a soldier at the execution
Munastero 'e Santa Chiara must surely be the film Monastero di Santa Chiara (1949), but I haven't been able to find it...
