This is one of the many German-Italian co-productions from late 1930s and early 1940s that were shot in both German and Italian language versions with partially different casts. This is from the German version. It's quite likely that Aristide also appears in the Italian version named Il sogno di Butterfly, but I've not been able to find a copy of it so I cannot confirm if he does or not.
