To me, Bano seems to be the guy in 4 & 8 (having been not familia with him, judging from the unsymmetrical nose and the chin form)
These images of Vicente Bañó (which in English would be "Vincent Bathroom"!) are all from within a few years of I sette gladiatori. I don't see much resemblance with the guy in 4/8, but I don't see him anywhere else either.

Since the opening "gladiators in prison" scene features Bruno Arie and Pino Mattei then I would assume that it was shot in Italy, so chances are the actor in 4 & 8 would be an Italian.

Maybe a crazy idea, but I'm wondering if this might be Juan Cortés as the Emperor, and might he be credited as "Antonio Cortes"? Any opinions?

If he doesn't have a twin brother, it's him.

Thanks, he did a good job hiding with that wig, but we got him in the end.

What about the credit? Juan isn't credited by that name in any other films, but of the unidentified roles that is one of the few that you would think might be credited, and it's not unheard of for credit writers to get a name wrong as we well know

There's one other credit for an "Antonio Cortés" in imdb: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0181512/

Seems to be a hard one to find, I looked for it for Molino Rojo with no luck

I would assume that the stuntmen playing vikings would be Spaniards, but I guess it could be possible. Not sure myself.
