Charles Borromel was a character actor and dubbing artist, active in Italian films throughout the 1960's, 70's and 80's.

He was born on January 28th 1933 in Glasgow, Scotland. It appears he had a brother, but this is unconfirmed.

Little is known of his life before his arrival in Italy, but Johan has provided some additional biographical information from his research which you can read here.

Charles somehow wound up in Rome at the start of the 1960's, where he would work predominantly as a dubbing artist, while also appearing less regularly as a character actor, mostly in small parts. He would continue to live and work in Italy for at least the next 3 decades. From comments found online, it appears he returned to live in Scotland in later life.

Charles died in Glasgow on December 12th 2007, aged 74.

I have found a few undocumented appearances, so it is very possible there could be more.

Some of his biographical details were confirmed some years ago by fellow dubbing artist John Gayford in my peplum group on Facebook.
