Before coming to the Cinema, Guglielmo Barnabò devoted himself to theater and, in short intervals, to the radio. He had roles of "first character actor" especially in the Eliseo troupe and in the Tòfano Rissone De Sica troupe.
His film debut is Gallone's Scipione l'africano. Than he was the father of Maddalena in the film of the same name directed by De Sica. Following this success - which put him in the ranks of the best character actors of those years - he gave himself body and soul to the big screen.[1]
