Manja Golec in a late 60's publicity shot
Manja Golec was an actress, mostly in small parts, active largely in films shot in Yugoslavia throughout the 1960's.

No biographical details are currently known. Her name appears on a webpage titled "24 actresses from Slovenia", so she may well be Slovenian by birth. Johan adds that she probably relocated to Italy and was based there since around 1962/63 and at least throughout the rest of the 1960s. She appeared in quite a few fotoromanzi for Bolero Film, but spelled her name as Manya Golec for these. She may well have done uncredited bit parts, etc. in films too, but Bolero Film was based in Milan and their fotoromanzi were shot there, so if she did any uncredited film work it would most likely have been in Milan, though we know she appeared in at least one film shot in Rome too.

She was identified by Ciavazzaro from her appearance in an issue of the fotoromanzo Moulin Rouge, dating from around 1963, then matched with appearances in several peplum and historical films.

Filmography

1961
  1. Sansone .... Gaia (credited)

    1962
  2. Nas avto .... Hairdresser (credited)

    1963
  3. Operacija ticijan .... Linda (credited)

    1968
  4. A Fable (short film) .... role unknown (credit unknown)
  5. Angélique et le sultan .... The condemned prisoner (credited)

    1969
  6. I peccati di Madame Bovary .... Madeleine (uncredited)

Titles to check
  • Nocni izlet (1961) IMDb as Tatjana
  • Igre na skelama (1961) as Rosana
  • Da li je umro dobar covjek? (1962) as Dijana

No Manja!
Titles where Manja is listed as appearing somewhere online, but cannot be found. There always has to be one!
  • La furia di Ercole (1962) IMDb with no role. I have checked this film thoroughly and could not identify Manja. I suspect her listing as appearing is a result of online confusion between this film and Sansone, which was shot back-to-back and features largely the same cast

Operacija ticijan (1963) credited, as Linda.

Of the roles found so far this one is by far the largest and the only one where her hair is dark.

A Fable (1968 short film) I was not able to find a copy of the film, but someone was selling an 8mm copy on EBay which included a selection of screen shots, including this one which is obviously Manja. Role and credit status are unknown.

Angélique et le sultan, aka Angelica e il gran sultano (1968) credited, as The condemned prisoner.

While all the other films where she has been found were shot in Yugoslavia, this one looks to have been shot in Tunisia and Rome.
