No, not exactly, or at least that's not the part that concerned Nick. I'll try to clear it up:

The movie in question is Totò, Peppino e le fanatiche (1958), which Rudy posted a picture of in Umberto Alivernini's topic. This is the picture in question, with Alivernini meant to be the man circled in red
Fanatiche.jpg

I said I wasn't quite sure if that's really Alivernini. He might just have a strange expression in that particular shot and that's why I asked for some others to say for sure whether it's him, but apparently Rudy got that screenshot from you and only has a very low-res version himself.

But then Rudy also posted two low-res pictures of Alivernini - again from Totò, Peppino e le fanatiche but from a different scene. It's the pics seen in this post: viewtopic.php?f=56&p=32964#p32964
According to Rudy, that scene takes place at 1h 32min.

So what we need your help for, Nick - if you still have Totò, Peppino e le fanatiche - is to get some better pictures of the scene at 1h 32min, and also to see if there are some other shots from the scene with the audience members to confirm whether that is Alivernini in a second role or not. Sorry for any confusion.
Right, well that clears it up, apart from the fact that the film only runs 1h 22m, but I will try and find the scene

What do you think of vecchiaguardia's ID for Franco Ukmar in Quick ID's? FatmanDan thinks it isn't him. I'm not really sure one way or the other, I think it could possibly be him, but I'm not at all certain.

I'm not entirely convinced either. I'd have to look at the scene in question, but that'll have to wait till tomorrow.

There aren't any additional pics posted from the scene with the audience from what I can see, but again, based on the one pic we do have, I must say I'm rather doubtful it could be Alivernini.

Since you have a nicer copy of La patata bollente could you see if you can get some clearer shots of Ennio, he's at around 1hr 28m in a background role as a man at the bar. There's also Rocco Lerro as one of the bike thugs who turn up around at around 16m and again around 52m - thanks

Johan, i see that you posted a picture in Dottesio's topic of the movie "I diamanti che nessuno
volera rubare" (1967)
In the credits, Ivan Scratuglia is mentioned, can you search for him
that movie is not in Scratuglia's topic yet
thank you

I think this is a credit only, though I'll take another look to make sure.

I re-checked Venere Imperiale for the potential Chiarenza's cousin. Unlike Proietti he doesn't move his head in the nearer shots so is always looking down. You do get some more shots of him but he's further in the background so I'm not sure they're helpful in confirming the identification. They do confirm the long beard - though at that distance there's no way to be certain that it's a real beard. The hair certainly looks curious so is probably a wig, particularly if it's C.C. who had a high forehead and was receding at the front. I would say that it's probably him, but due to the lack of clarity of the facial features I think it's hard to be absolutely certain.
