He was born in Barcelona on July 24th 1916.
He initially became known as an opera singer, starting in the chorus during the civil war and graduating to lead tenor with the prestigious Moreno Torroba company from 1939 to 1946. He gained popularity and toured America with the company, then independently he toured Mexico, Cuba and South America in 1948-49. In 1951 he received the Félix Antonio González Award for best singer for his performance in the zarzuela Don Gil de Alcalá.
As for his film career, IMDb lists one role for 1952, after which there is a 9 year gap before his first found role. He then worked steadily in small supporting roles until 1983.
Florencio died in Barcelona on September 29th 1989, aged 73.
I think it could be possible that there are some undocumented roles to be found, particularly from the 50's and late 60's, when his known filmography is rather sparse.
His biographical details are gathered from, and corroborated by, numerous online biographies.
