José Vicente Cerrudo in Spartacus (1960)
José Vicente Cerrudo was a white-bearded older actor, active in Spanish films at least from the late 1950's to mid-1960's.

No biographical details are currently known.

I found a newspaper article with a heading saying he is starting his acting career aged 80 (unfortunately the rest of the article is not clear enough to read), which tied in with 3 major roles he played between 1962-4, but I have also found a few earlier appearances for him among my unidentified whitebeards, so he obviously worked as a generico for a few years at least before belatedly getting his big break.

El hombre del expreso de Oriente (1962) credited, as Gaspar.

José Vicente has second billing here in his biggest role and one of the 2 he is remembered for.

Del rosa al amarillo (1963) credited as "José V. Cerrudo", as Valentin.

The second of the roles for which he is remembered, he gives a truly heartbreaking performance as a segregated-by-gender retirement home resident, separated from the woman he loves who he sees every day, but with whom he is denied any contact. He deservedly, if a little surprisingly and belatedly, won best newcomer award for his performance at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.

La niña de luto (1964) credited, as Rocio's grandfather.

This is José Vicente's last-known performance.

This is a magazine (or newspaper?) article about José Vicente titled "Señor Pepe begins his cinematographic career at 80 years old".

Unfortunately the small print is too unclear to get any biographical details and I have no idea what the "Señor Pepe" reference refers to. Since the article includes an image from his final film then he was presumably aged around 80 when that was shot.

Aquellos tiempos del cuplé (1958) as Man at the airplane launch.

There is a credit for a "Lorenzo Cerrudo" who has no other known credits, so I would guess at this being José Vicente. There is probably a better explanation for his role as he seems to be of some importance, but I couldn't work out exactly what he was doing there.
