Thanks, I wondered if it might be, but he isn't someone I'm familiar with and there didn't appear to be any reason why this character would appear in multiple scenes. I replaced the original image with one of the better ones and removed "at the station" from his role description.

I had considered it, but didn't manage to convince myself - not sure, maybe… Seeing the images together I think you're probably right, but see what others think.

As for his role, I'm not sure if his is equal to that played by Herter or if he's his lieutenant.

The guy on the far right in 44 could be Pericoli. The nose looks the same to me and has also a mole as in profile pic.

I wasn't entirely convinced by the image in his DB topic as the upper lip seemed fuller, but comparing a few images found online the lip is thinner so I think it is indeed him, so he is added also

I've been trying to work out who the credited Peter Baldwin is. Of the various Peter Baldwins on IMDb, this one looks to be him, he appeared in a few films in Rome around this time, but was hardly a known star name to justify his inclusion in the credits.

Yes, it's the same American Peter Baldwin that starred in Lo spettro (1963) and La donna del lago (1965). While he may not have been a major star, he had appeared in several Italian films, including a leading role in Dino Risi's Un amore a Roma (1960) and a supporting part in Roberto Rossellini's Era notte a Roma (1960), both important films, so I think that gave him a certain star creedence.

Interestingly, he and Gerard Herter also appeared together as German speaking characters in I due colonnelli, from which the footage of Scilla Gabel was also sourced (both films were produced by Titanus).
