In my long research of Italian wrestling I had started noticing that not only did the Messinas wrestle in several movies, they were also extremely competent! I eventually tracked down Emilio's daughter who confirmed it to me, without knowing any specifics. After more digging I found an article about them wrestling in Turin, in May '63, with Angelo Giusto and Lorenzo Fineschi on the same show! You can find all info here https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=11 ... 7049106664
Thanks, I'll add that they were also wrestlers to their biographies, though that article raises as many questions as it answers.

It seems odd that in the same article they are mentioned as being both Sicilian and Italian-Americans from New York, when in 1963 they were both busy appearing in films in Rome. All the information I've found about them lists them as both being born in Morocco.

Also interesting that they are listed as having appeared in Cleopatra, as they have never been identified in that film and I have not come across any other reports of them appearing.
The Sicilian origins I'd say were true, with that kind of surname. Yes they were born in Morocco but most definitely from an Italian family. The whole New York bit is a lie, Stephanie told me so, the kind of stuff they'd use to make things sound more exciting. They wrestled Spanish guys, that's probably no coincidence, being that they probably worked a lot in Spain as actors. When in Italy they lived in Rome, where they opened a gym at some point, so I reckon New York is the only incorrect statement. The Cleopatra thing may or may not be another embellishment

"Faux Fornari"'s appearance in ´Il sepolcro dei re" is mentioned in his filmo, but not in the film's thread.

I’ve noticed just now in the Gaetano Scala’s topic an error.
At this page, for the movie Un milione di dollari per 7 assassini
viewtopic.php?f=40&t=4079&start=10

In the first pictures there’s not Gaetano but his brother Franco. Only in the last one picture we can see Gaetano. So they both appear in the movie sharing the same scene.

Are you sure? The first image particularly seems more like Gaetano to me. If anything I would say the last image seems most like Franco!

Ah, I see now - your link went to the top of the page rather than to the post, so I assumed you meant the first post.

Yes, in that instance I agree and will correct it.

For future reference, to link directly to a post rather than to the page, right click on the title heading for the particular post and click on "copy link", then paste the link into your post

Oh, in this case it remains only the credit. I’ll try to search him again.
Thanks

Neither an error nor an addition (I didn't know where to post this little curiosity)

The TV image of Nazzareno Natale who appears in "Scoop" (1992) is the same of the "Annuario degli attori 1988-89" in the first post of his topic
