Until 1939, the year in which he made his debut in the cinema, Claudio Gora had participated in all the artistic and cultural events of the Guf (Fascist University Group) of Genoa, his hometown. He was involved particulary in the theater, founding and directing an experimental one and concurrently did some cinematographic experience in short-pitched films by the local Cineguf.[1]
Engaged by La Scalera (film production and distribution company), after having interpreted three minor films: (Trappola d'amore, Ricchezza senza domani and Il bazar delle idee), he found one of his major early success in Torna, caro ideal!, in a incarnation of the famous Neapolitan composer Tosti.
Since then, he always had excellent roles, demonstrating good versatility skills and above all a beautiful dramatic temperament.
