Gina Falckenberg, was the daughter of the famous German director and playwright Otto Falckenberg, director of the Münchner Kammerspiele (Munich Chamber Theater). This lucky genesis lets her to learn the first teachings of the dramatic art directly from the father. She starred acting in Munich and Berlin, achieving a great personal success in the German play Gestern und Heute, a famous lesbian drama of 1931.[1]

After shooting several films in Germany, she comed to Italy and got married the Italian director Del Torre, under whose authorship she interpreted the film Anime in tumulto. The artistic apex of this versatile actress also includes her activity as writer: in fact she was the authoress, in addition to a volume of short stories, of two novels that achieve a large favor in Germany.[1]
