Mara Chianetta (alias Mara Maryl/Mara Marilli, sometimes mispelled as "Maria"), was an artistic gymnastics champion[2], that become an actress, matriculating at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 1957[1].

Graduated at Classical lyceum, she was married with the screenwriter Ernesto Gastaldi, with whom she has lived for 60 years and known at the time of the studies at C.S.C.. She starred in all movies directed by her husband, becoming the protagonist of the book published by him: Mira Mara come como marea (2019)[2], in which the author describes the meeting and love with the woman of his life.

She lived in Rome, in via Nemorense, 39 with his husband from 1960 to 1987.[3−5] She passed away cause of an incurable disease.[2]
