Paola Quattrini was born on March 9, 1944 in Rome. Coming from a working-class family, she began hes cinematographic activity by chance at the age of four with the film Il bacio di una morta (1949) by Guido Brignone. When nine she made her Radio debut in a program conducted by Corrado, titled Il cavallo a dondolo. Especially as a child she played in numerous dramas such as Guai ai vinti! (1954) e L'angelo bianco (1955) directed by Raffaello Matarazzo.

At the age of ten she loses her father and what seemed to be just a game thus becomes a job to support herself and the family. As a teenager she devoted himself to the theater making his debut in The Power and the Glory (1957) by G. Greene. The growing success on the stage leads her to act alongside famous artists as Bramieri, Chiari, Dorelli and Modugno, obtaining the best results especially in the brilliant comedy. Therefore she works on TV in the variety Ho cominciato così (1969), Finalmente venerdì (1989) and in various TV mini-series such as I demoni (1972), Puccini (1973) directed by Sandro Bolchi, and the more recent Fine secolo (1999) and Don Matteo (TV series, 2006).

Adult film activity is not particularly intense. She's mainly present in the films: La più bella coppia del mondo (1968) by Camillo Mastrocinque, Perché quelle strane gocce di sangue sul corpo di Jennifer? (1972) by Giuliano Carmineo, Un uomo, una città (1974) by Romolo Guerrieri and Fratelli e sorelle (1991) by Pupi Avati, a film for which she was awarded with the Nastro D'Argento as best supporting actress. She also received prestigious awards for her theatrical activity: for Les mains sales by J. P. Sartre, directed by G. De Bosio, she obtained the Noce d'Oro award as best young actress and for La ragazza di Stoccolma, directed by M. Lualdi, obtains the I.D.I. - Saint Vincent award.

She's also a dubber (already at the age of seven she dubbed Brigitte Fossey in Forbidden Games - 1952). Since 1995, alongside her intense activity on the stage, she created and directs a theatrical laboratory to develop new talents, named "Fabbrica di Ponte Milvio". In 2003 she finally made her debut in fiction, drawing on her happy humor for the book A.M.O.R.E. - Emozioni in ordine alfabetico. Her daughter, actress and dubber, is Selvaggia Quattrini.
