Carol Hammond, a young and wealthy wife, daughter of a successful lawyer, lives with Frank, her father's partner, and the ambiguous stepdaughter Joan. The woman is being treated by a psychoanalyst because she is troubled by recurring nightmares in which she indulges in sapphic affairs with a extravagant neighbor, Julia Durer, a dissolute former actress who host sex and drug parties at her home. But in one of these dreams, Carol kills Julia and a few days later it turns out that she really died and was murdered just like she dreamed.

The mythomwniac is actually given a character name in the film “Harry Smith” but whether this is his real name isn’t clear…

It is indeed the actor Robert Coleby who is in this role. It was his very first film after graduating from Central School of Speech and Drama. Coleby left the U.K. in 1974-5 and went on to be a very well known actor in Australian television and films and is still working today although mostly in voice over work. In fact he even has the film on his acting resumé as The Woman in Lizard Skin - directed by Lucio Fulci - with the character name of “Alex”.

For those film topics created by people no longer active on the forum it is down to any moderator who feels so inclined to do any updating.

I tend to leave the gialli and other 70's/80's titles (other than the Spanish co-productions) for others to do as they are outside my main fields of interest and knowledge, plus I have more than enough film topics of my own to keep updated.
