A young opera singer, Betty, is called to replace the well-known leading singer, hit by a car on the eve of the premiere of Verdi's Macbeth. Betty achieves a great success, but after the performance, a murdered man is found. It is only the first of a series of killings, to which the young woman will be forced to witness by the killer, who loves to tie her and then apply some needlests in front of her eyes, so that she cannot take her gaze off from this brutality.
