John Turner in Sabata vivo ou morto (1970)

Gino Turini, most frequently credited by the pseudonym "John Turner" and also on occasion "John Brown" or "Braun", was a stuntman and actor. He was active in Italian films from at least the late 1950's to the early 1980's.

No biographical details are currently known.

John was one of the actors who appeared regularly in the low budget films of director Roberto Mauri, along with Walter Brandi, Vincenzo Musolino, Paolo Solvay and Franco Pasquetto. In addition to acting roles he has a small number of what seem like rather random production credits.

His filmography is fairly sparse, so I think it could be very likely that some undocumented roles will be found.

Dizionario del Cinema Italiano says this film was shot in 1951, but given Turner's presence plus the fact that leading lady Nadia Marlowa would have been only 15, this would seem highly unlikely.

Of the ten gladiators Gino makes the least impact being mostly stuck in the background and, along with Pino Mattei and Giancarlo Bastianoni, he was one of the original ten who did not return for the 2 sequels.
