Storyline

After 8th September, the second lieutenant Alberto Innocenzi, like many other soldiers, put on the civilian clothes, and tries to reach home as soon as possible, together with other three fellow soldiers of his regiment, including the coward Ceccarelli. Finally he arrives at destination looking for some peace of mind, however his father incites him to enroll in the new fascist army. Alberto doesn't want to hear any more about war and escapes again. But when Ceccarelli, hunted down by the Germans, was wounded, Alberto suddenly regained his dignity as a officer.

I notice a certain resemblance but he seems to be much younger than the other pics of him from the sixties. Other opinions?

At the time of the film Dottesio was 51 years old and honestly the actor in the photo would seem younger to me. His bottom lip looks a lot thinner too.
