Unidentified actors

Unidentified credited actors
  • José Granja - His only other known credit is in a film from 1941. He is listed with role on IMDb, so may possibly be identifiable if a. the film is findable, b. he isn't hidden under a period wig and c. if his looks haven't changed too much in 18 years!
  • Antonio Morales - His only other known credit is in El hombre que viajaba despacito. We may be able to find an actor in both films in roles substantial enough to maybe be credited, but both films have a lot of unidentified actors (including a number of our unidentified actors who appear in both films, though none in roles you would think would be credited), so I'm not too optimistic.
  • Jorge Ochando - He has one other credit in Los rurales de Texas (1964), role unknown.
  • Francisco Sepúlveda - He has no other known credits.

There are 9 actors credited specifically as playing delegates, of which 7 are identified. Of the remaining 2, José Granja has one other credit from 1941 listed on IMDb with role, but which I was unable to find. The other, Agustín Povedano, has 4 other credits on IMDb. 2 of those dating from 1917 and 1935 would be of little help even if they could be found, but I have copies of the other 2, dating from 1953 and 1961, so I'm hopeful I will be able to match an actors from those films with one of the actors below. To be old enough to have appeared in a film in 1917, Povedano would presumably be at least in his 50's or 60's here, which would rule out some of the younger looking ones and make Italy or Iraq seem the most likely.

Since we have 2 further delegates identified who are credited, but separately from those listed as delegates, then it could be possible that one or two more of the remaining unidentified actors could also be playing delegates. We also have one uncredited delegate identified, and from the number remaining there are obviously more who will be uncredited.

The remaining unidentified delegates are:

I've now watched both Nadie lo sabrá (1953) and Habanera (1961), in both of which Agustin Povedano is credited, but I was unable to find anyone in either film who seemed like any of the delegates, so I guess he will remain a mystery. Enrique Macedo, who appears as a delegate and uncredited, was also uncredited in Habanera, but since he does not appear in Nadie lo sabrá then the possibility that it might be an alternative name for Macedo seems unlikely.

Thank you, yes I agree - so it seems it wasn't enough to search just the delegates, but also the assistant delegates, of which each delegate has 2! I think I do recall seeing this actor in the films where Povedano is credited, but since he wasn't one of the actual delegates I overlooked him!

This is Mario Moreno, identified in 4 films.
morenoa-side.jpg
I think this has to be him as the flustered bank employee.
uk47a-side.jpg

and this is Luis San Martín, identified in 5 roles.
La familia Colón_ Capítulo 12 _ RTVE Archivo (1080p_30fps_H264-128kbit_AAC)8-side.jpg
The most likely candidate to me seems to be the first tourist guide. He really is not seen more clearly than this, but since the 2nd tourist guide is credited in an equally minimal role, then I suppose it makes sense that he would be too, The ear and downturned mouth seem to match.

Any opinions welcomed.
