Re: stuntmen before 1969
I have been told that the UK stuntmen in Helen of Troy trained the young future stuntmen of Italy during the making of this film. Musumeci Greco, however, wasn't in this film so the trainers were British mostly plus probably American stunt coordinator Allen Pomeroy who was on the film and maybe Yaki...

Re: Requests for Nick
Any idea who might have played Mabuna in Land of the Pharaohs? Al Thomas maybe? He didn't look like Bradley. And he sure wasn't played by Carlo D'Angelo who was white and much older.

Re: Requests for Nick
was it Nello Pazzafini who played Ator's foster father in the first Ator film? The actor was called Nat Williams, but it may be that this Nat was someone else and not Pazzafini

Re: Requests for Nick
Somebody here wrote "heavily cut down like Ben-Hur". I am not sure how much was cut from Ben-Hur. Does anyone know? The sheik's tent was mainly filmed in US since it was reshot to a great extent. The 3 magi were probably partly cut, too (Richard Hale played one of them and he always had lines to spe...

Re: Requests for Nick
here it is: Mark 15:40 New International Version (NIV) 40 Some women were watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joseph,[a] and Salome. Salome was on Golgotha and probably Nicodemus, too. After all he was a disciple. There are 2 Salomes ...

Re: Requests for Nick
either that or she's just a character who happens to be called Salome and not the biblical one. I think you are right. The biblical Salome is typically portrayed as a seductive temptress, and I find it very hard indeed to imagine Vera Drudi in that sort of role. Vera Drudi's Salome was maybe not th...

Nando Poggi
I'm watching L'amante del demonio. Poggi is often credited as Hans, but he didn't play that part. In a book about Italian gothic horror movies of the 70s Poggi is listed as playing a knight. This is true. A fencer that turns up in the film is in fact called "signor cavaliere" and it looks a lot like...

Re: Requests for Nick
the man in these scenes from El Cid is Felix De Pomes. The other bishop doesn't really look like Bruno Smith either. When the king is crowned later in the film this bishop is seen, but I don't think he really looks like Smith. Too young looking, I think

Re: Requests for Nick
the bishop in El Cid is Bruno Smith, I suppose, according to other sources. But the cardinal abbot who married El Cid and Chimene is Spanish actor Felix De Pomes.
