Uno scacco tutto matto (1968) credited as Director as well as for Story and Screenplay. He appears in a comic cameo as a character whose name sounds like Cherno.

This was Robert's only credit as lead director. Unfortunately the film does not appear to have been a success and is only really notable as one of the most obscure titles in the filmography of star Edward G. Robinson. I would suspect that this film's failure probably put a halt to Robert's directorial aspirations.
