Storyline

England, 1884. At the Blackford castle, the young Emilie arrives, legitimate heir and sister of the resident and rigid noble Roderick, accompanied by two friends, Alice and her brother. From the beginning, a fatal atmosphere hovers in the castle: the old Lord Blackford, presumed dead, is actually horribly disfigured and in the throes of terrible moments of madness. Moreover, some enigmatic characters have inexplicably replaced the old servants: Eleonor, the treacherous ruler, the strange Dr. Atwell and Alastair, the sinister butler.

Hmm... I think something must have been lost in translation here, as "ruler" is not an appropriate description for this role. Haven't seen this film in a while, but from what I remember, Helga Liné is actually playing the housekeeper.
