Additional notes: filming of the race lasted two months and the stunts often swapped roles - source: Ferdinando Marra, son of Attilio Marra. Alfredo Danesi (Chariot from Messina) was the son of Severo Danesi, the chariots builder. Otello Capanna (Chariot of Carthage) was nicknamed "the strongest man in Rome".
