Lella Cattaneo (alias: Angela Bassi Cattaneo) was a "glamour" generica who shows up in many films. She's always very dressy and uses a lot of make-up, just like the divas of the 40s. She reminds a little of Barbara Cartland.

Lella Cattaneo was originally identified on the old forum back in 2010, thanks to two of her rare credited roles.

In the obscure giallo La morte scende leggera (1972) she has a small but memorable role as the wife of the owner of the abandoned hotel where Stelio Candelli and Patrizia Viotti are staying. We first see her when she suddenly grabs Stelio's hand in the dark and drops dead to the floor - her throat slashed!

However, she reappears at the end of the film when we learn that her death had been faked in an attempt to drive poor Stelio mad!

The role is small but because there are very few actors in the film, I had a strong suspicion that she was credited, and one of the unknown names in the credits was a certain Lela Cattaneo. The suspicion was then confirmed with the help of Ciavazzaro, who managed to track down the rare viking film Il tesoro della foresta pietrificata (1965) where Lella Cattenao is also credited.

And she does indeed appear in the film, playing a small role as Oddrun, the witch:
