: Rod Mafry in Cruzada en la mar (1968)

Rod Mafry was a small-part actor, active in Spanish films between 1968-1981.

The only result of a Google search is a post on a Facebook page titled "Memorias del Almansa", Almansa being a town in eastern Spain near Albacete where Mafry reportedly lived for many years and was active in local theatre productions. The post informs us that his birth name was José Juan Rodríguez Blanco, with "Rod Mafry" being his stage name. The post included links to another site, but this site no longer seems to exist.

He only has 4 known film roles, three between 1968-70 and one more in 1981. Almansa is nowhere near the film-making cities of Spain, which may explain why he has so few screen appearances, but of course there may be undocumented roles to be found.

After an 11-year gap, Rod's last-known screen appearance is in this low-budget martial arts pic, which was shot here in Gran Canaria. One of the comments on the Facebook post is from someone who says he met Mafry while in the Canaries, so maybe he was living here at some point too?

The Facebook post comprised of 4 images, 2 contain images from his films, the other 2 I copy here. The first one does not come from any of his known film roles. The second one is reportedly from a theatrical production from Almansa, obviously dating from 1964.
