: Ángel Calero in La ciudad no es para mi (1966)

Ángel Calero was a character actor, mostly in small parts, active in South American films from 1943 and Spanish films from at least 1953 to 1970.

No biographical details are currently known.

He has one confirmed credit in an Argentinian production from 1943, but it's impossible to know if he was living there and, with no other known credits for this period, how much time he spent there.

His earliest-known appearance in a Spanish production comes in 1953. He then worked steadily in Spanish films for the next 17 years, with a few very busy years at the end of the fifties. Towards the end of the 60's his work pace slowed considerably, with his last-known appearance being an uncredited background role in Tristana (1970).

El beso de Judas (1954) IMDb as Joseph of Arimetea. After a bit of research I searched for this role of the man who took the body of Jesus to bury it, but given that the film ends with the crucifixion this is of little help. I failed to recognise Angel, but I always struggle to identify people in this film, even in an HD print, probably due to the combination of everyone wearing wigs and the film being very dark, so it is quite possible I missed him. He is not credited.

No Calero!

Titles where Angel is listed as appearing somewhere online, but cannot be found. There always has to be one.

Julia y el celacanto (1961) This is the second of the 2 titles listed by IMDb on the profile for "Ángel González Calero", however the credit here is for "Ángel González" and our Angel is nowhere to be seen, so the credit presumably refers to someone else.

Carmen (1943) credited, as Bandit.

This was an Argentine production shot entirely in Buenos Aires. There is currently a 10-year gap between this and his next known role, so there could be undocumented appearances in both Spanish and South American productions to be found.
